We are Matt and Flo, welcome to our practice. This page offers a little insight into our values and our approach to Architecture but above all else we offer a professional design service in a friendly and approachable way. We love what we do and we want our clients to share in our passion and enthusiasm for the built environment.
We enjoy working with clients who are looking for a one-off design and a creative, thoughtful response to their brief. We have experience in the design and delivery of one-off homes, refurbishments, extensions, and housing developments. We also undertake cultural projects and work on public buildings.
Some of our work is newly built but a lot of our experience has been gained from working on the transformation and re-use of existing and historic buildings. We have experience with Listed Buildings and have worked in Conservation Areas, World Heritage Sites, Areas of Outstanding Natural Beauty, Greenbelt and National Parks. We hold a 100% planning and listed building approval record.
Sustainability plays a central role in all our work and we are well placed to advise clients on how to improve the sustainability credentials of their projects. To date our projects have included the retrofit of existing homes, new homes to Passivhaus standard, new homes to the Association for Environment Conscious Building (AECB) Standard and commercial premises to BREEAM standards.
From our studio in Bath we have worked on projects in the South of England from Cornwall to East London. We like to keep our practice small and we take on a limited number of commissions at any one time so that we can give each project the dedication it deserves and ensure our work remains of the highest quality.
Matthew Sicolo
Director, Architect, MArch BArch ARB
Matt was previously an Associate at Stirling prize winning Haworth Tompkins Architects in London where he ran a number of award winning residential, cultural and education projects. Matt has also worked as a Senior Architect at multi-award winning AHMM Architects. He has worked on new build and existing building projects and for a range of clients including homeowners, self-build developers, Community Land Trusts, Housing Associations, Universities, Arts institutions and local authorities. Matt has also helped to facilitate the built works of Turner Prize winning artist Martin Creed.
When not in the studio Matt can be found out exploring with his family, on his bike or surfing.
Floella Sicolo
Director, Architect, MArch BArch ARB RIBA
Prior to establishing SicoloWebb, Floella worked as a Senior Architect at multi-award winning London practice Pringle Richards Sharratt. Floella has a breadth of experience including the delivery of two landmark retail buildings for Hackney fashion hub, workplace fit outs for TFL and Workspace, and worked on the design for the refurbishment of a grade II listed townhouse in Belgravia. Floella has also worked for Royal Gold Medal winning practice Grimshaw Architects gaining master-planning experience. Floella qualified whilst working for De Matos Ryan on a number of high quality domestic refurbishment projects. Floella oversees the running of the studio.
